ORMICS Celebrates 35 Years of Service

Ottumwa Regional Health Center held a reception today to honor 35 years of ORMICS (Ottumwa Regional Mobile Intensive Care Service) service on Friday, September 30, 2016. Employees and administration were on hand to honor those past and present ORMICS staff. Founded in 1981, ORMICS was one of the first three ambulance services in Iowa to be licensed at the Paramedic level of care and replaced the Wapello County Ambulance Service.
Original members were Bill Bruce, Susan Benge, Darrell Norman, Steve Barnett, Gary Padget, Joan Lovewell, Don Parsons, Terry Swartz, Rod Lappin, Peggy Bedford, Rick Morgan, Jim Ruley, and Barry Huff.
