Greater Ottumwa Partners in Progress Appoints NEW CEO

October 16, 2017, Ottumwa, IA - Greater Ottumwa Partners in Progress (GOPIP) is pleased to announce and welcome TJ Heller as the organization’s first Chief Executive Officer. Heller will be responsible for providing team and community leadership, driving fundraising and sustainability strategies, coordinating work related to the strategic priorities as well as general management responsibilities. Heller will start his new role with GOPIP on Monday, October 16, 2017.
Mr. Heller served as Director of Entrepreneurship, Economic Advancement & Incubation at Indian Hills Community College. Heller is widely recognized as a catalyst who was able to transform the business incubator operation, recruiting 6 new start-up businesses and an international business making their first location in the United States at Indian Hills Community College.
Heller has a diverse background which will complement the demands of the new CEO role perfectly. With many years of entrepreneurial experience, matched with retail property development, he understands the critical aspects of how to blend the unique business operations of the Greater Ottumwa Partners in Progress members together. Heller shared, “As a lifelong Ottumwa Citizen, I am passionate about our community and consider myself blessed to support and lead the organizations under the GOPIP umbrella. I look forward to immersing myself immediately into the process and driving GOPIP brands to a new level for the betterment of our community.”
