Tuesday, June 12, 2018
A crowd of nearly 450 attended the Annual Tenco Awards Banquet on Friday evening at the Bridge View Center, in this Tenco’s 53rd Anniversary of service to people with disabilities. The event honored business and industry, civic organizations, benefactors, Tenco staff and individuals served by Tenco. “Keeping Dreams Alive” was the theme of the evening.
Attendees were entertained by juggler Scott Baird, as well as musical entertainment by Fast Henry, an acoustic rock band from Ottumwa. The meal was prepared by Chef Bob Newell and Bridge View Center staff. Volunteers helping serve included Ottumwa Job Corps students, Ottumwa Leadership Academy alumni, and U.S. Bank staff. Master of Ceremonies was Tenco’s CFO Marc Roe.
The evening began by remembering Eddie Spees and thanking his family for their years of continued support and friendship to Tenco as well as being the first sponsor for the Awards Banquet. Memorials made in Eddie’s honor underwrote this year’s event. They truly are an amazing family.
